Monica Tirado is a commercial and business litigator and appellate advocate with extensive experience representing corporate entities and individuals with contract disputes and business torts. Monica has particular experience in the areas of employment litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, civil appeals, trademark infringement, real estate disputes, shareholder disputes, and disputes arising from breach of business contracts and fraud. Monica has represented her clients in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Additionally, Monica assists businesses and individuals in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, including employment and non-compete agreements, operating and shareholder agreements, distributor and licensing agreements, residential and commercial leases, and business purchase agreements. As head of the firm’s title practice, Monica handles all aspects of real estate transactions, from commercial and residential purchases and sales, to mortgage refinances. Monica graduated from the University of Miami in 2005, magna cum laude, and from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude, in 2008. She is admitted to practice in all Florida state and federal courts, as well as in the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, and in the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth, Seventh, and Eleventh Circuits. Monica is fluent in Spanish.
